EmailSaviour was founded in Belfast in 2007 as an alternative to increasingly over zealous spam filters. As the volume of spam continues to increase year on year, the response of spam filters is to make their criteria for legitimate email more stringent. This results in more costly false positives.

As a Challenge/Response antispam service was not provided in the UK or Ireland, EmailSaviour was established to serve email users in the EU.

Founder, Bryan Majury, is an honours Computer Science graduate from QUB. He worked with well known North Down entrepreneur Ian Pennick in the early days of Figure Retail Software Solutions which is now part of Torex Retail PLC. Bryan joined Smart Golf Limited in 1996 which was purchased by Baron Corporation PLC in 2000. Bryan was part of a management buyback in 2001 and served as Managing Director of the newly named Smart Club Solutions until forming EmailSaviour.
